Adsense Video Units Link Missing -- When will the YouTube video units option be enabled by Google?

by Paula Neal Mooney My new Adsense YouTube Video link / option is missing , unlike those guys who have a cool YouTube video up (hope y'all are making Google Adsense money off it!) displaying how to enable the new Adsense YouTube video option -- once you select the video units link in your Google Adsense account. Problem that me and many others are experiencing is that when we log into our Google Adsense accounts, the YouTube video units link / option is missing. It's not there! I've checked the Google Adsense help for info about the YouTube video link units option missing , but didn't see much info off-hand. I'm going to work out. Hopefully they'll add the Google Adsense YouTube video link option for everyone when I get back. It's a good idea. Blog about a viral YouTube video and you could really up your Google Adsense money if it gets beau coup traffic. Do you all have the Google Adsense YouTube video link option in your Adsense accounts? Or is it ...

PageRank Dropped from 5 to 4 ... Thank God it didn't drop to zero!

by Paula Neal Mooney So big brother Google is doing the ol' PageRank update, and as you can see, my pagerank dropped from 5 to 4. Yikes! (What's up with that future pagerank of zero? I'm cursing that in Jesus' Name!) Anway, I'm glad my Google pagerank didn't drop down to zero, as you can see some of the people listed below have experienced recently. Turns out it's all probably related to PayPerPost stuff, or do-follow stuff to people taking advantage of the whole no-no-follow thing, or my blogger salary backlinks or something. PayPerPost Still Thinks I'm a Google PageRank 5... I was monkeying around on PayPerPost today -- finally got a PPP direct offer for my TV site! (Thank You, Lord -- You're bringing in more money since I paused that thing to hear from You than when I was dripping blood, sweat and tears over it.) Anyway, PPP still thinks I've got a Google PageRank of 5 on this blog. I was as tempted as Christ probably was to turn that stone i...

MC Hammer Dead? Was Stanley Kirk Burrell hit by a car outside a Tribe Called Quest concert and killed? I hope to God this is a fake internet hoax...

by Paula Neal Mooney MC Hammer dead ? Did MC Hammer / Stanley Kirk Burrell really die ? Folks are wondering about new MC Hammer death rumors that just hit the net. Here's the supposed report being circulated about how MC Hammer allegedly died : "MC Hammer dead .......RIP MC Hammer (Kirk Burrell), Pop Rap icon of the 90's , passed away today in a Baltimore hospital room outside a Tribe Called Quest show in New Jersey last night, the singer was struck by a car passing by the front of the Ventura Theatre. Brunswick police say that the driver allegedly stopped, but then fled the scene. There is now a police investigation underway. Hammer was rushed to St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, where he was pronounced dead this morning at 6am. This is a tragedy for the underground music as a whole." But let's look at the evidence that suggests the MC Hammer (nee Stanley Kirk Burrell) died rumors are just that, rumors: Google News has no reports of MC Hammer's alleged death...

Sponsored Links & (PayPerPost?) Get Google-Penalized ... I know the feeling of Google hating repetitive anchor text, but my blog's links were non-paid

by Paula Neal Mooney The whole Google-hating-sponsored-links from link farms (and PayPerPost reviews, perhaps? ) fascinates me. I always found it funny how much TechCrunch hated sponsored link sites PayPerPost with reviews like this. Michael Arrington made sure to review PayPerPost and their offensive ClubMed employee retreat. And then there was some alleged abuse in this scathing PayPerPost review here... And let's not forget the bad review of sponsored link sites akin to PayPerPost ... At least the LA Times had a positive review of PayPerPost type sponsored link places today... Sponsored Links, PayPerPost Reviews and Google Penalties -- What's the deal? So I know that Google technically defines "sponsored links" as these things, and not PayPerPost reviews with links embedded in the content. But therein lies the big question: What's the difference? One website owner may go buy an advertisement thru Google Adwords so that when a person types in "get s...

When I quit my job and flew to the Bahamas...

by Paula Neal Mooney That's me back in 1996, in the Bahamas . I'm not terribly fond of this picture -- keep in mind that I've lost weight since then -- but I do have fond memories of the place. It was the first time I'd left the mainland; I remember the plane banking off the eastern edge of Florida and heading down toward bright blue waters with little islands jutting out of them. My husband and I had just quit our jobs -- but we'd already booked the trip to stay in the Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas . Turns out our Author and Finisher worked it out perfectly so that the end of our trip coincided perfectly with the beginning of our new job. I couldn't have planned it better myself.... Other memories include beautiful beaches in the Bahamas , too rough to swim in whilst we were there (even the lifeguard said he wasn't swimming in surf that rollicking, so I knew I wasn't going in) but still gorgeous to look at just the same. There was the weird feel...

That's what I'm living for...

by Paula Neal Mooney "Livin' 4" by J. Moss speaks to everything I'm feeling today... It's one of those songs I played over and over and over and over again in my car before I gave the CD away after it first came out. And now that these feelings have resurged like something kicking me in the gut, I'll probably listen to the MP3 of J. Moss' Living 4 over and over and over and over again... And here are those lovely lyrics about sin, personified as a woman -- with J Moss honestly triumphant in turning his back on her: Rap intro: Oh no... Thought it'd never come That day that I tell her that I've gotta run Run back to the Savior and do my labor Because His word is razor sharp I forgot I hid it in my heart Gotta do a clean sweep on the spot and drop Everything that ain't clean Don't take it for being mean A brother's gotta fulfill his dreams "ya know mean" You made my toes bring my balance to the floor You made my feet walk right ...

When a company calls...

by Paula Neal Mooney I don't like when one particular company calls and leaves voice mail messages on my phone. Perhaps it's because I had a not-so-pleasant experience with the African braiding place, perhaps it's because they call too often, perhaps it's because their frequency of messages smacks of desperation and low sales to me. Or maybe it's the way they repeat the message that starts in a weird way -- like it's cut off and I'm coming in on the middle of the message -- that puts me off. Maybe that company used a cheap voice messaging company. I like Joyce Meyer's messages... On the other hand, I like when Joyce Meyer (a conference leader whose Enjoying Everyday Life program I watch from time to time) leaves a voice mail message. It's always kinda funny to hear her voice on my machine, as if she's personally talking to me. Plus, Joyce Meyer rarely calls -- but when she does leave messages that I've opted to receive (just like these folk...
