Wondering What to Buy a Blogger for Christmas?

Ten Gifts for Bloggers by Paula Neal Mooney With Christ’s birthday celebration fast approaching, what should you buy that special blogging someone in your life, your home office, or the general blogosphere? Here are ten gifts-for-bloggers ideas: 1) Caffeinated libations – Keep bloggers’ witty metaphors rolling through the day and night by gifting your blogging baby with a cute Starbucks Assortment gift basket, or with a six-pack of Red Bull Energy Drink ...hold the Grey Goose. 2 ) The latest blogging mags… or at least those that’ll keep your uber-blogger up to date on new blogging news. A subscription to a good blogging mag , Computerworld : the Newspaper for It Leaders , Inc. or Entrepreneur might be just the boost your blogger needs to turn their blogging business into a permanent job during 2007. 3) Blogging books. This is the blogging gift that my dad -- a new 85-year-old blogging hopeful – wants. Think I’ll start with Blogging for Business: Everything You Need to Know and W...

My husband gets on my nerves...

...because last night when I asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he gave his standard, “Oh, you don’t have to get me anything.” A seemingly altruistic response, but truly infuriating for folks like me who then have to guess at what he wants, because we’re gonna get him something. I, for one, could’ve added a gazillion items to our family’s gift idea list on Amazon, which I started last night. You’ll notice that there are no gifts selected by my hubby, who is not one to receive gifts well. But, I’m grateful that he likes to give, and that he’s just looking out for our debt situation like I keep harping on reducing all year long. He’s really a sweetie pie, so here’s hoping I find him something that he’ll love. So, for any family members or friends reading this blog, here’s our list. Please create one for your family too and send it on over to me! For Big Papa: Wish I knew. Maybe if he tells me, I’ll update this post later. For the Little Wifey: I just added this cool new Braun MX2050...

White Teddy Bear that Glows in the Dark all the Rage for Christmas

My hubby bought this white teddy bear that glows in the dark -- oddly named the GLO E Teddy Bear (why didn't they just call it "white teddy bear that glows in the dark"? -- for our daughter when she recently turned 4. It is so cool! I'm predicting that this white teddy bear that glows in the dark will be the must have toy of the season. If you get the white GLO E teddy bear that comes with the magic wand, the wand will light up the teddy bear even if someone is holding the wand in another room. My 10- and 12-year-old nephews even had fun with this white glowing teddy bear. My friend's daughter asked if she could take it home Saturday night as they were leaving a dinner party at our home. I said no. Trust me, when this white teddy GLO E bear is glowing all purple and green and pretty colors next to your child in a darkened room, you'll see why I said no. Will Zune put a dent in Ipod sales?

A month or two ago, I was blessed to e-chat with ex-Microsoft blogger extraordinaire, Robert Scoble of the 20+ million pageview blog, Scobleizer . Back then I asked him if the new Zune was better than the Ipod. Here's what he said. And if you're thinking of buying a Zune for yourself or as a gift this Christmas, here are some accoutrements that can help Zune users download more stuff. Seeing as though I don't own either a Zune or an Ipod yet -- only a freebie Gateway MP3 player that came along with our PC that I must've left in the bathroom too long and steamed up because it only holds 5 songs now -- I can't give my honest feedback till I make enough referral money to buy either one. But if you own the new Zune, let me know how it's working for you. Bookmark or blogroll me at http://www.paulamooney.blogspot.com/ and drop back in some day to see what I'm up to next. Blessings and love, Paula Tags: zune , ipod , download , movies , music , robert , scobl...
