New Blogger Template - Free Blogger-Blogspot Templates, Custom SEO Blogger Skins to Make Your HTML Blogspot Blog Look Better in 2009 and Get More Hits

UPDATE: THE BLOGGER TEMPLATE I WAS USING AS WRITTEN ABOUT BELOW KINDA FLIPPED OUT ON ME, GOING ALL BLACK SO PEOPLE COULDN'T READ THE TEXT -- SO I SWITCHED TO THE FREE REVOLUTION BLOGGER TEMPLATE, BUT I TWEAKED THE XML TEMPLATE TO GET RID OF THE LABELS AND OTHER STUFF.

For those of you who've visited my Blogger/Blogpost blog before, you'll notice I just downloaded a new template from the eBlog Templates website, who has a bunch of free Blogger / Blogspot templates under their Blogger tab (I found this Ads Theme template for Blogger I'm currently using under the most-downloaded section.)

The new Blogger/Blogspot template is pretty neat, but I did a few custom hacks...

...like I made sure to wrap the post titles in header 1 tags.

And I'm glad the Blogspot theme creator was smart enough to put the post title first, and then the blog title -- this is great for SEO click-thru rates in Google's search engine results pages, because the readers see your titles first.

I noticed the creator had his Google Adsense code in the top ads right above the title, so I went into the layout and replace it with my Google Adsense code, and moved that code beneath the post title, which historically has shown me gets better click-thru rates.

Plus, I've been trying to move the post labels to the bottom of the post with no luck yet -- but at least I moved them above the post title and not beneath, where it looked clunky to me.

It seems like a great theme. I've still got more tweaking to do.

Also, I put my favorite little symbols in front of the title code so that the post titles stand out a bit in Google's SERPS, also a good way to get more clicks.

And I wrapped the labels in H3 tags, so hopefully this will help with SEO as well.

We shall see.

But I'm loving the new Blogger/Blogspot free layout skins thus far. They look a lot neater, they automatically resize my pics down to fit into the post, and they are just beautiful.

Since a couple of my main WordPress blogs got dinged by Google, I've been finally turning my attention back to free blogger themes I can use to boost up the blogs I have left.

How to replace the adsense code of the original author on ads theme blogger template? Pls reply.

I've switched themes since then, but you should be able to download your blogger layout first and SAVE A COPY so you'll have a good copy to go back to if you need to.

Then search for the Google Adsense code in the layout and put your own in there, but you've got to convert the Adsense code using something like this:

And then drop it into your layout theme.

Thanks for the post. I was getting bored with my old template and was close to asking a friend of mine who works for an seo company to help me change it. Now he doesn't have to know I'm not as good at this blogging thing as he is. Thanks
