All-in-one-SEO Pack Error on Update -- I just switched to HeadSpace2 WordPress Plugin...

For those of you on WordPress using the All-in-One-SEO Plugin, you know how cool that tool can be to drive traffic to your site.

But today I saw the normal little "upgrade" beneath the All-in-One SEO plugin and got an error -- something about that /home/.regalo/ folder in my WatchFreeEpisodes.com directory that I tried to look into a bit -- but didn't find much about.

So I used that opportunity to do a little digging (I'm redesigning my site anyway) and thanks to this guy's post about great WordPress plugins, I found the HeadSpace2 seo plugin to download.

I'm trying it -- we'll see what happens. Do you use HeadSpace? If so, leave me a comment, please, and let me know how you like it.

I am getting the same error on two of my blogs that I did this update on and it is frustrating beyond belief. The SEO plugin is so helpful though I hate to get rid of it, I am hoping they will fix it.

To be honest I'm just starting my own site and I'm not 100% sure about what I'm doing. This kind of information is good for me though. The more I learn from other peoples mistakes (sorta speak) the better.

Hi Paula, Kevin Stacey here..

First off, this post is extremely thorough! I don't see too many bloggers going into detail like you have...that's the mark of a blogger who knows her plugins.

I've been reading through the comments here and for optimization, free plugins like All in One SEO Pack are really great as it lays down the basic SEO foundation for a Wordpress site, but every blog is different and nothing works best for everyone.

I always suggest looking at a side-by-side comparison of the best seo plugins for Wordpress in order to make an informed decision of what the best plugin is for that blogger and their website's specific needs.

Here's my most recent write-up on the subject:

SEO Pressor vs Easy WP SEO vs Scribe SEO

Check it out, let me know what you think. On a sidenote, you also don't want to overload/bog down Wordpress resources with too many bulky plugins as well.

Great article btw...I'll be referencing this post on my main blog.

UPDATE: PLEASE CLICK THIS LINK TO DIGG THIS STORY AND TELL DIGG TO PLAY FAIR... by Paula Neal Mooney Many of us know the power of Digg.com, dreamed up by Kevin Rose, who touted it as a "user driven" site that says it allows the general public to determine the stories they want to see make it to the front page by voting for interesting articles they find across the web. The more votes the public gives an article, the better chance it should have to make it to the front page. Theoretically... The power of Digg's front page Digg.com -- according to Alexa -- is now more popular than The New York Times.
