Why Are Other Bloggers Making So Much More Money Than I Am?

I know it's a question you may have thought of, because it's one I've asked myself.

After all, seeing...

...John Chow post up $23,448.59 last month...

...and Shoe Money post $30,000 per month...

...and the Connected Internet guy post $15,179 per month...

...and Randy post $7,378 last month...

(thanks, Shane)

...and Lilian post $5,628.01 last month...

...I can't help but ask God -- Why am I working so hard and not seeing the same results?

Then He led me to the passage where Peter was fishing all night and caught nothing, but then Jesus came along and said, "Push out into the deep for a haul..."

And Peter said they'd been fishing all night long and caught nothing, but that on his Lord's word alone he'd try it again.

He did, and that's when so many fish came, they had to call their friends to help.

Peter left to become the "fisher of men" that Christ talked about after that.

So, my lesson learned was that I can work my butt off -- and when it's the right time, God will provide the haul -- or booty, as it were.

Then He may ask me to leave it all behind...

There are four factors involved in any action, knowledge, effort, time and implementation. Results are also any one of four outcomes. Get what you want, get less than what you want, get more than what you want and get something totally different from what you want. I have found it practical to accept whatever comes as His will. The first four factors are within our control, but a fifth, which is called providence, is not. He knows best and once I accept that, life becomes easier to live. Sorry if I sound like I am pontificating, but I am sharing my experience with you.

Awesome post. I did a sermon last week about waiting. For what God wants on his timeline not ours. Your post reminded me of parts of my sermon.

Best of luck to you.

Amen, and Amen. I see you've started using Google ads again in posts!

Oh wow their earnings are really inspiring.. I wonder how long will it take to catch up with them..

But there are several similarities with each of them -

1. all are blogstars (like superstars)

2. all have high traffic

3. they have fans!

Maybe those are the secret?

More posts about fish will do the trick.

Online stuff/activities/biz like those and ours need consistent commitment, perseverance, patient, a lot of hard work etc.

Those people have put a lot of effort. We might not know how incredible their effort have been compared to us.

What we, you and I should do is to work harder and smarter. We must have the believe that we'll get there. Let's get there together.

Good things come to those who wait? I have faith in me so shall wait for a while longer!
Great post, Paula. I am at a critical point in my own walk with Christ. I'm trying desparately to put ALL my trust in Him. It's hard because my struggle has been such a long one. I love your confidence, both in Him and in your own ability that comes from your sheer love of the written word.

I think that we will make the mark when God says the time is right. In the meantime, we just keep trusing, praying and writing!

Love ya, keep up the good write.

Since I'm fascinated with how much money bloggers and webmasters are making nowadays, I've created a similar list -- a random sampling of people making money on the net. My WebMaster blest me with a viral post called "Paula's List of Blogger Salaries," and the response was so wonderful, here lies an update. It's bigger and better than ever before with more pics, and double the amount of bloggers, webmasters, domainers, affiliate marketers (or a smidgen of some or all of those titles) and their reported incomes. How Much Do You Make? Money is funny. The abundance of it, the lack of it, the subject of cash in general gets attention. While some invoke their choice not to post their online income nor discuss it at all, I've always been of the Suze Orman mindset ever since I read her first book. Suze encourages people to talk ab

UPDATE: PLEASE CLICK THIS LINK TO DIGG THIS STORY AND TELL DIGG TO PLAY FAIR... by Paula Neal Mooney Many of us know the power of Digg.com, dreamed up by Kevin Rose, who touted it as a "user driven" site that says it allows the general public to determine the stories they want to see make it to the front page by voting for interesting articles they find across the web. The more votes the public gives an article, the better chance it should have to make it to the front page. Theoretically... The power of Digg's front page Digg.com -- according to Alexa -- is now more popular than The New York Times. Getting one of your articles or blog posts to the front page of Digg.com will get your website seen by plenty of eyes.
