Should I Stay or Should I Go?

by Paula Neal Mooney

Sometimes my husband and I will drive around looking at new houses, even if we aren't thinking of moving immediately.

But other times, lately, it feels less like dreaming and more like planning.

I'm grateful that God has put a roof over my head, and was thinking about the verse that says "to lose sight of yourself and all your own interests, take up your cross and follow Me."

I hope I'm doing that, but if I'm blessed with a newer home on the cul-de-sac I've been envisioning with multi-cultural friends, I won't be at mad Him!

And when we get serious about putting up this house on the market, I can try a place like to find a realtor, if I don't use my neighbor, whom I love. pulls up a cool Google-Earth-type map when you put in your location, and gives you info about real estate agents with cashback discounts of 15.5% or more or less.

When and if I'm released, I will say "Au Revoir!" to this home, thanks for the memories and hello to the new stage of life ahead...

Now is a good time to purchase real estate in most parts of the country. The market is nervous, and it has been a buyer's market for a while now - so many homes are for sale at a steep discount.
