My Kontera.com earnings are $115.05...Try to get an affiliate link to earn more money

My Kontera.com earnings are $115.05 so far...by Paula Neal Mooney

I've been waiting for my Kontera.com earnings to exceed $100 ever since I joined their program around April 1st of this year.

For those who don't know, Kontera.com is a site where you can submit your blog, and if approved, they'll provide you with the code to automatically hyperlink text on your page.

When people click on them, you get paid!

Even if your blog is small with not many pageviews, I still suggest you sign up with Kontera.com, because they approve even small blogs.

And now there's one more reason to urge my readers to sign up with Kontera.com -- they've got an affiliate program!

When I used their contact form and asked them for an affiliate link, they told me that I'd get one after I was in the program 30 days and had at least $100 in my account.

So as soon as my Kontera.com earnings hit 100 bucks, I requested an affiliate link:

The Kontera.com folks requested my phone number, and we chatted Friday briefly about my goal of helping bloggers make money.

Sounded good to them, so they gave me my own Kontera.com link and struck the following deal:

10% of the net revenues of folks who sign up with Kontera.com thru my link for a one-year period

Now, I'm not guaranteeing you'll get the exact same deal from Kontera.com

I don't know what kind of deal John Chow --- whom I signed up under -- is getting thru Kontera.com's affiliate program, but it can't hurt to try.

So if you're just signing up with the Kontera.com program, or are already earning money with them -- once you're 30 days in and have at least $100 in your Kontera account, it can't hurt to use that contact form and see if you can make more!

That's great. I never knew kontera has an affliate program. I signed up under john chow's mercy...because my blog is still small. I just started in a week time. I hope it can be as good as my adsense income.

Congrats, Paula! Thanks for the great money-making tips!

Well done Paula! Keep on producing valuable stuff for us all. I'm thinking of using Kontera as well, but probably not in the near future. Maybe after 2 or 3 months

*still waiting for your May's income ;)

That's cool news! Yours is the second Kontera endorsement I've read about. Definitely sounds like a better pay-off than AdSense.

After reading John Chow's ebook mention of Kontera, I decided to sign up thru his deal, too... Haven't gotten around to it yet, but maybe later this week I'll register.

Keep up the excellent work!

I don't know..I think that could be annoying for my readers..
I should probably ask them..

Paula, is Kontera annoying?
Let's start to ask it to you, I'll ask to the other reader later :-)))

Hi Zaki -
Yes, I'm finding my Kontera.com earnings to be a good addition to my Adsense income.

Hey Vanessa -
How's that TypePad treating you with SEO?

Thanks!

Hi Affzan who reminds me of Aslan the Lion from The Chronicles of Narnia -
How come you're waiting to use Kontera?

Those dimes can be adding up now!

Don't worry, my May income numbers are coming soon!

Hi Kween
Yes, I love Kontera along with Adsense.

I like to think both/and instead of either or.

And the guy from Kontera.com made sense to me when he said:

Kontera is a great addition. Bloggers can have their Adsense running in their sidebars and banner ads (or whatever) in their headers, and Kontera links fit in nicely in the text.

OH! AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT AS PART OF MY KONTERA.COM AFFILIATE PROGRAM DEAL, KONTERA.COM ASKED ME TO REMOVE MY AMAZON CONTEXT LINKS.

I CAN STILL USE THE AMAZON IFRAMES AND STUFF, JUST NOT ANOTHER COMPETING CONTEXT LINK PROGRAM -- THIS WAS FINE WITH ME BECAUSE I HADN'T EARNED MUCH IF ANY INCOME THRU AMAZON CONTEXT LINKS, ONLY THRU OTHER AMAZON IFRAME AND INDIVIDUAL LINKS.

Well, you can register today, right here!

SIGN UP HERE TO JOIN KONTERA.COM AND REPORT YOUR EARNINGS FOR THE NEXT PAULA'S LIST OF BLOGGER AND WEBMASTER SALARIES, AND ONCE YOUR KONTERA.COM EARNINGS REACH $100 OR MORE, USE THEIR CONTACT FORM AND SEE IF YOU CAN GET AN AFFILIATE LINK AS PART OF KONTERA.COM'S REFERRAL PROGRAM!

Hi Maurizio Devil's Advocate ;-) -
Yeah, that's the same thing I wondered, whether or not the Kontera links provided a bad "user experience" or not.

To tell you the truth, they don't really bother me when I'm surfing other people's blogs who use them, so I knew they probably won't bother most of my readers.

And those that are truly annoyed by them, they have program that can strip out the Kontera links when you're viewing web pages, so that's that!

Happy Tuesday all and thanks for your fine comments,
Paula

hmmmm never thought to request an affiliate link once I started genrating enough to get a check.

Kontera is not working for me like Adsense so I haven't really been pushing it. My biggest money makers still are Adsense, affilate marketing, text link ads, and selling advertising directly.
well,i think i would give kontera a try to!i would join under u paula

Thanks for this Paula! I'm getting a little frustrated with my other advertising efforts.
Hello back to you! I hope things are good with you back there.

Have you seen the report from Courtneytuttle.com. He did pretty well and made some suggestions as to why. I think your site has a lot of those necessary qualities. What do you think has helped improve your kontera return?

Hi Glen
Yeah, I figured it can't hurt to try and ask!

Hi Constructicle Boy -
Thanks for signing up. I hope you get approved.

Laura
Yes, some can be slow going, that's why it's so good to diversify revenue streams.

Hi Peter the Smoking Christian
I was happy to see your site show up on my referring URL page, so I thought I'd pop on over and see what you were up to.

Beautiful blog, as usual.

Hi Cade @ Write To Right
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LEADING ME BACK TO COURTNEY'S BLOG TODAY!

He has a great post up about how to insert Adsense in WordPress sites that I needed to read!

One thing that really helped my Kontera.com earnings since I joined was the boost in traffic I got from this blessed sent-straight-from-heaven post about blogger and webmaster salaries.

Now I'm looking forward to getting Kontera approved on my other dot coms!

I haven't decided whether to use this yet or not, but if I do, I'll come back and sign up under your link. Thanks for sharing your Kontera success.

Agent Sully
Thanks for signing up under my link some day.

Your site would work well because you write really LONG posts with lots of great content.

(I see you keep dodging my avatar questions, however. Are you the next Kumiko?)

Affzan -
"Think Aslan, think Affzan..."

I think you're on to something good.

I gave up on Kontera for a numbet of my blogs, they were getting in the way of readers too much.

I'd much rather get a reader into my mailing list than make a few hundreds bucks to lose them forever.
Hi,
I applied to Kontera via your link (John Chow doesn't need the money!)
Regards
Vic
