My husband gets on my nerves...

...because last night when I asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he gave his standard, “Oh, you don’t have to get me anything.”

A seemingly altruistic response, but truly infuriating for folks like me who then have to guess at what he wants, because we’re gonna get him something.

I, for one, could’ve added a gazillion items to our family’s gift idea list on Amazon, which I started last night. You’ll notice that there are no gifts selected by my hubby, who is not one to receive gifts well.

But, I’m grateful that he likes to give, and that he’s just looking out for our debt situation like I keep harping on reducing all year long. He’s really a sweetie pie, so here’s hoping I find him something that he’ll love.

For the Little Wifey:

I just added this cool new Braun MX2050 PowerMax Jug Blender to our list today because after I blended my tasty banana protein shake with a powder like the Bob's Red Mill Soy Protein Powder, 28-Ounce Packages (Pack of 4) that I just added to our list, my shake spilled all over the counter when I tried to take the decanter from the base.

Next I added this cool LightWedge Original LED Book Light ‘cause I should be doing my pro-bono writing for an amazing organization called Sisters in Service, which helps feed starving and abused women and kids around the world. Anyhoo, this light will help me read up and research things I need to write late at night.

For the 4-year-old girl:
Our daughter’s really getting into all things Polly Pockets, so this So Hip Cruise Ship Playset - Polly Pocket Travel Collection would help hold any of the Polly Pocket So Hip Cruise Ship Travel In Style Fashions you bestow upon her.

In case you’re feeling especially generous, this Fisher Price Kid Tough Song & Story Player - Pink is to die for.

For the 5-year-old boy:

Again, if you’re way in the black this year, let that generosity flow on down to the boy with a Fisher Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera for Boys so that he won’t bug me to use our digital camera.

Yet, if things are more in the red this year, LeapPad Software -K-1st Grade: CARS to go inside the LeapPad that our friends Svetlana and Ralph gave us earlier this year would really rock his world.

Or, Ice Age - The Meltdown (Widescreen Edition) would do quite nicely. I like the dynamic between Queen Latifah and Ray Romano on this film.


Finally, this Spinmaster Aqua Doodle Basic Matlooks fun.

And you can’t go wrong with this Schoolhouse Rock! (Special 30th Anniversary Edition) DVD. Yes, honey, I know we had this but I gave it to our nieces this summer because they enjoyed it sooooo thoroughly when they spent those two weeks with us. I’m betting it’ll come back to us, like all bread cast upon the water does after many days…
