It comes in hard on the tail of "You Oughta Know," the song that put Alanis on the map when she blazed her trail in the world releasing Jagged Little Pill . I've been thru that! Alanis' lyrics ring so true to me -- as do they to many of her other fans. I, too, have had a "sympathetic character" or two in my life. Because of former maltreatment, I grew to hate anger being directed at me. My coping skills included "making nice" and holding back my true feelings as a means to protect "my own bones....
