Kate Walsh's Grey's Anatomy Spin-off Will Attract Millions

by Paula Neal Mooney There's something special about Kate Walsh. Special enough to spin Kate Walsh off from Grey's Anatomy into her own pilot and series. Fans of Grey's Anatomy already know the 39-year-old, 5'10" blue-eyed Californian who dyes her blonde hair red. Kate Walsh strolled onto the Grey's Anatomy scene decked out in an all-designer black suit and introduced herself to Ellen Pompeo's character by saying: "You must be the woman who's sleeping with my husband." But since then the once "adulterous spawn of Satan" has beguiled viewers. Emerging as Patrick Dempsey's cheating wife who left Manhattan and relocated to Seattle to try and reclaim her marriage, Kate Walsh's character was initially vilified. Grafting into Grey’s Anatomy Folks eventually softened on Kate's Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, as the beauty ditched salmon scrubs in favor of a dark blue uniform that signaled Walsh's placement as a permane...

Why You Should Respond to Your Comments

by Paula Neal Mooney Back when I received my very first comment on one of my blog postings , I responded...eventually...once I got the post a comment deal down pat. I had a lot fewer writing assignments back then and was green to blogging. These days I'm so blessedly busy with writing work that I've turned off my comment moderation and let people post their comments right away. I read thru them via email as soon as I can get to them. Sometimes I respond to my blog's comments right away and right below the other person's comments on my blog. Other times I go to their blogs and read their postings, and work my response into my comments about their work. A lot of times I do neither. But the benefits to responding to your own blog comments are many fold. And I need to do a lot more of it to gain more of this good "Google juice" and other blessings: Comments keep your blog pages fresh . Instead of having static blog pages that rarely change, it's a good idea to...

Digital Camera That Makes You Look Skinnier

You gotta love the folks over at HP for creating these new digital cameras that help make you look skinnier . Even though I can't see a big difference in the before and after effect that HP shows on their site trying to slim down a rotund couple with the digital camera's slimming feature, I'm all for anything that doesn't put weight on me, but claims to do the reverse. And it's cool how you can photoshop your stuff right on the camera itself, as opposed to my current method of downloading my pics to my PC then seeking out whatever free photoshopping software will do the trick before I remember that I own HP Image Zone. Anyhoo, these are all the digital camera that contain the slimming feature , according to HP's site: » HP Photosmart R967 digital camera » HP Photosmart R927 digital camera » HP Photosmart R827 digital camera » HP Photosmart R727 digital camera » HP Photosmart R725 digital camera » HP Photosmart M627 digital camera » HP Photosmart M527 ...

Buddhist monk cuts off penis...

...and the monk refuses to have his penis reattached after he chopped off his own penis with a machete because he developed an erection during meditation, reports Bangkok-based Kom Chad Luk tabloid on its Web site. After the Thai Buddhist monk cut off his penis with a machete because he had an erection during meditation, he refused to have the penis sewn back on because the monk reportedly told doctors that "he had renounced all earthly cares." The 35-year-old monk -- whose name has not been released -- let doctors at Maharaj hospital care for the wound left from severing his penis, but refused to have the penis sewn back on. I can understand this drastic behavior a bit, though he's Buddhist and probably doesn't live by Jesus' edict that "If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out" that some peope interpret literally. But I wish the monk who c...
