Hey Ted Murphy - You made a black woman take off her hair weave...

Hey Ted Murphy - You made a black woman take off her hair weave ... by Paula Neal Mooney Well, actually, I only took off my "phony tail" and didn't bother to put it back on -- nor any make-up on my vain face -- on the short video I just shot below begging to win one each of the SWEET "ten awesome new 6 megapixel digital cameras and photo printers from our friends at HP" that you're giving away to us PayPerPosties at PayPerPost, who is generously paying for this post (if accepted) whether or not I'm blessed with one of those HP babies. As much as I would love to submit one, please note that this isn't a video blogging opportunity. Why? Because, like any good PayPerPostie, I read the rules thoroughly and learned that those submitted videos "must be at least 30 seconds in length," and since I only have my hubbby's video phone to record with, this sucker is only 15 seconds. Check it: Okay, so now that I've researched you more, Ted Mur...

My husband gets on my nerves...

...because last night when I asked him what he wanted for Christmas, he gave his standard, “Oh, you don’t have to get me anything.” A seemingly altruistic response, but truly infuriating for folks like me who then have to guess at what he wants, because we’re gonna get him something. I, for one, could’ve added a gazillion items to our family’s gift idea list on Amazon, which I started last night. You’ll notice that there are no gifts selected by my hubby, who is not one to receive gifts well. But, I’m grateful that he likes to give, and that he’s just looking out for our debt situation like I keep harping on reducing all year long. He’s really a sweetie pie, so here’s hoping I find him something that he’ll love. So, for any family members or friends reading this blog, here’s our list. Please create one for your family too and send it on over to me! For Big Papa: Wish I knew. Maybe if he tells me, I’ll update this post later. For the Little Wifey: I just added this cool new Braun MX2050...

Digital Camera That Makes You Look Skinnier

You gotta love the folks over at HP for creating these new digital cameras that help make you look skinnier . Even though I can't see a big difference in the before and after effect that HP shows on their site trying to slim down a rotund couple with the digital camera's slimming feature, I'm all for anything that doesn't put weight on me, but claims to do the reverse. And it's cool how you can photoshop your stuff right on the camera itself, as opposed to my current method of downloading my pics to my PC then seeking out whatever free photoshopping software will do the trick before I remember that I own HP Image Zone. Anyhoo, these are all the digital camera that contain the slimming feature , according to HP's site: » HP Photosmart R967 digital camera » HP Photosmart R927 digital camera » HP Photosmart R827 digital camera » HP Photosmart R727 digital camera » HP Photosmart R725 digital camera » HP Photosmart M627 digital camera » HP Photosmart M527 ...

Kid-Tough Digital Camera

Woo! 70 Bones! (Update: Looks like you can double that price since I last blogged about this kid-tough digital camera ) Still...I must have one of these new digital cameras for kids from the geniuses at Fisher Price , who obviously know enough about rowdy and Ansel Adams would-be kids to develop a kid-tough digital camera strong enough to withstand bumps and bruises. Fisher Price obviously also knows enough about us material-hungry parents raising pride-producing pint-sized Picassos (strike that, he was loony), miniature Georgia O'Keefes (yes, I know they were both painters -- you got the Ansel Adams reference above, right?) to know that we'll drop 70 bucks on a new toy instead of our mounting credit card debt to make for happy and prodigious munchkins.
