AdBrite InVideo Ads: Raising my $5.45 AdBrite Balance

by Paula Neal Mooney Today there sits $5.45 in my AdBrite account. That's because after I joined AdBrite and added the AdBrite code to my blog, I was dissatisfied with how slowly the AdBrite ads were earning money, so I took them down. I hedged my bets that the Amazon ads in the above prime blog real estate space would earn more. They have. Join Amazon Associates for details. But today I have new reason to urge bloggers to join AdBrite, if they haven't already. It's because I got an email about the new AdBrite InVideo ads. AdBrite InVideo lets you upload your own videos (that I'm sure you have to own the copyright for), splashed with your brand across the AdBrite InVideos . AdBrite InVideo says they'll pay you (don't know how much) when people click on the AdBrite InVideos -- with non-obtrusive ads -- and you'll get paid when people share the AdBrite InVideo ads, too. When your AdBrite InVideos go viral, let's hope AdBrite coughs up mucho den...

New PayPerPost Video Ads Pay Based on Technorati, Google and Alexa Ranking

by Paula Neal Mooney Looks like the big news today is that PayPerPost.com is going to start paying us posties to video-blog about specific products in a different manner than before . Woo hoo! What's interesting is that Eric Berlin writes that PayPerPost will pay for "new video ad products, targeted channels, and payment based upon traffic rankings from Alexa, Google, and Technorati." Man am I thanking God today for all the tips received from Bonnie Calhoun about joining Bloggin' Chicks (see my blogroll in the sidebar and click on that for more info) and that I posted those 2000 Bloggers Projects pics on my blog (don't click that link unless you have a fast connection, cause as Bonnie correctly warned, this can truly slow down your dial-up traffic). My already rising Technorati ranking is 8,400-ish right now! Praying my Google Pagerank will rise as well... Sure, Ted Murphy is targeting the Top 100 bloggers, but let's hope and pray the PayPerPost bigger o...

Why You Should Read Blog Ads

by Paula Neal Mooney I love my blog's readers. The ones that don't cuss at me, that is. Like Scott Nance over at Life, The Universe... My e-conversations with Scott have inspired a couple of posts thus far, including the How to Get People to Read Your Blog one. And now here's another. Yesterday Scott unknowingly got me to thinking about the advantages to reading the ads on other people's blogs -- not your own. (Never, ever, blogging newbies, click on your own Google Adsense ads! This could spell doom.) It helps prevent ad blindness - I was so used to not clicking on the ads displayed on my own blog that I realized I was letting this fear translate to other websites I read daily. Lo and behold I had almost developed a case of ad blindness , an affliction that content writers try hard to cure their customers of, trying all sorts of tricks like placing topical pics near their Google Adsense link ads. (Which, by the by, the jury is still out on whether this is okay or not...

How Do I Sell My Blog? Getting Cold Hard Cash from Blogging...

by Paula Neal Mooney Now that my blessed friend Bonnie Calhoun over at Bonnie Writes showed me that my blog value is in fact increasing -- and not stuck on the $24k I thought it was worth -- by encouraging me to click on the "How Much is Your Blog Worth?" doohickey over there to the left in my sidebar, I've been wondering: How do you sell a blog? (By the way, I had to type in www.paulamooney.blogspot.com to get the highest value, so try different variations of your correct URL with and without the "http:" in front to get your highest blog value.) Googling stuff like "sell my blog," "blogs for sale," "sell your blog," and "blog for sale" will get you enough good tips. But I think these BloggerTalk guidelines in this thread is a good start: 1. This forum is for the listing of blogs which are for sale. Not domain names and not normal web sites (with the exception of domains which have the word "blog" in them an...

LoudLaunch.com Launches...and I'm Sure the Blogging-Purists Will be Up in Arms...

LoudLaunch.com Launches...and I'm Sure the Blogging Purists Will be Up in Arms ...by Paula Neal Mooney So, the much awaited pay-to-blog site LoudLaunch.com has launched, and I'm sure all the so-called "blogging purists" will be up in arms again over sites like LoudLaunch.com who actually dare to pay bloggers (like me) for their writing efforts in helping out advertisers with their PR campaigns or latest news -- which companies can get started creating with as little as 50 bucks to LoudLaunch . But a higher budget means more buzz. It's funny, but I find many of LoudLaunch.com critics to be hypocrites in that they are either news reporters feeding their families off of salaries that are paid by the same advertisers who appear next to their bylines that they try hard not to offend, lest the removal those ad dollars leave them jobless... Or, they are bloggers whose blog posts dissing LoudLaunch.com appear right next to text-link ads affiliated with other pay-to-bl...

Ten Legit Ways to Make Money Blogging

Get paid to blog! Make Money Blogging! Paid blogging! Billion dollar blogger! The ads may scream with pay-to-blog scams, but here are ten real ways to make money blogging: 1 - Associated Content - Okay, so AC isn't a blogging site, but AC has been "berry, berry" good to me since I joined them August 16, 2006. Rates vary, some moaners fill the forums with complaints about $3 offers, but other content producers get to work, hustle and earn $235 a week . Though that isn't the norm for most CPs, I love Associated Content . They've been a complete blessing, and I refuse to bite the hand that feeds me and my kids Burger King. 2 - Amazon Associates - This has been a great moneymaker, especially during this Christmas season. Amazon doesn't want bloggers blabbing about specific numbers, so I'll be coy. But sign up, put cute pics of the sweet laptop you want to buy your hubby for Christmas that you promise the kids nor you will touch , (I finally figured out wh...

Monetize Your Blog With Clickbank...

...that's what I'm figuring out how to do now, since my original post about Michael Richards (and hopefully the follow-up ) is getting lots of traffic. So, I found out about ClickBank -- wait a minute...can you get a referral fee from refering folks to ClickBank? -- and whilst perusing ClickBank's marketplace I found this listing about SEO Elite Software that's supposed to help drive a gazillion folks to your blog and get you listed in the top spots on search engines. Since I'm skeptical of ads that shout too loudly, I checked out SEO Elite's Google page rank , which is indeed pretty good at 6. And the "fantasy football contest" guy's testimonial checks out too, he's ranked #1 on Google's search results. So, maybe when I get the 127 bones to spare on this SEO Elite Software , it might be worth a try to pump up my slowly growing Google adsense account. What do you guys think? Anyone out there having success with SEO Elite Software ? Bookma...

I finally gave in to Google Adsense...

I know, I know, I'm behind in the Google Adsense game, but I kept removing the adsense code because I didn't always like the ads matched up with my blog postings. How do other folks get around this ethical issue? And yes, there are a plethora of sites that I guess let you match up specific ads with specific content, but which one is the best? And I guess you can't put Google adsense code (images only?) in each blog post like I just tried because Blogger Beta's not putting up with the script tag. Let me know your Google Adsense secrets, techies! Thanks for reading! Feel free to bookmark or blogroll me at http://www.paulamooney.blogspot.com/ and drop back in some day to see what I'm up to next.
